With a robust background in both data and software engineering, I specialize in AWS technologies and event-driven architectures. Over the past five years, I have led the design and development of software applications, overseeing everything from code deployment to mentoring junior developers and interns, while consistently upholding the highest standards of software engineering best practices.
As a contractor with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), I have worked as a data engineer on key projects such as the Monthly Turnover Indicator data pipeline, where I managed data ingestion from legacy systems, performed transformations, and inserted data into RDS for visualization, orchestrating the pipeline using AWS Step Functions. Currently, I am part of the Consumer Price Index modernization team. My technical toolkit includes AWS event-driven technology, CloudFormation (CDK), Step Functions, Pandas, PySpark, PostgreSQL, GitLab CI/CD, Python, and TypeScript.
I led the design and development of Cimara, a workforce management software application, where I managed code repositories, deployed updates on AWS Lightsail, and conducted code reviews. I mentored junior developers, allocated tasks via JIRA, and monitored progress while assisting management with budgeting and software engineering processes.
I was responsible for developing back-end infrastructures, REST APIs, WordPress plugins, and code documentation, while collaborating with the team on programming, planning, design, and testing. I also maintained professional client relationships, providing technical support in web design and development.

Outside of my work as a software engineer, I enjoy spending time outdoors. In the winter, I often trek near Canberra and explore the national parks along Australia's East Coast. During the warmer months, I enjoy camping, swimming at the beaches
